Four day tour to Budapest

Day 1st
Your arrival from Poland to Budapest by air or train, where you are welcomed by our driver. Transfer to a hotel located in Budapest centre. Time to relax or private walks and arrangements. An overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 2nd
Breakfast, and your half-day Budapest tour including: Erzsébet Square, Opera House, Heroes Square with its Millenium Memorial and Erzsébet Bridge. Next the panorama view to the banks of the River Danube with famous public buildings and panorama view from Gellért Hill. Then your walk with English speaking guide in the Castle district to visit Matthias Church (outside) and view the city-panorama from Fishermen Bastion. Then crossing the Margaret Bridge by the coach to the House of Parliament. Your tour ends in the downtown, not far away from your hotel. Afternoon time to relax and private walks or shopping. An overnight stay at a hotel. (B,D*)

Day 3rd
Breakfast and one of the tours for that day (chose from the list): a) Esztergom-Visegrád-Szentendre Visit to three towns of archbishops, kings and artists. Esztergom: the oldest Hungarian Royal Residence and ecclesiastic centre. Visit the Basilica. Visegrád: unique panorama view from the Citadel and 3-course-lunch with wine in a nice restaurant. Szentendre: walk round the Mediterranean-like town then visit the Caprice Hungarian Jewellery Museum including multimedia presentation, factory visit and jewellery exhibition. The tour ends in Budapest city centre. (Between May and September return to Budapest by boat, in other dates or in case of low water by coach). b) Hungarian Puszta with Horse show This is an excursion to the Hungarian Puszta. The programme starts with a short walk in Kecskemét (80 km), in the so-called Famous Town. Then journey to a farm in the Puszta. Stud-farm visit, horse-show and carriage drive. Typical Hungarian 3-course-lunch with wine and gipsy music in a Csárda. The tour ends in Budapest city centre. An overnight stay at your hotel. (B, L)

Breakfast and transfer to the Budapest airport or train station. (B)

Perfect Poland

Our eight day trip thru Poland was outstanding! We covered north to south and 1000 years of the Polish and Jewish experience. Our guide Marcin was one of the best we’ve ever encountered , so knowledgable , personable and a great driver as well . Additionally we had special guides in Gdansk , Torun, Krakow and Aushwitz who were also fantastic! We saw and learned so much and gained such an appreciation for this 36 year old nation . Our Tour of Poland and Lithuania was even better than we had hoped

Our tour, with stops and sites suggested by Tomasz was outstanding and we would recommend his services and GPF Tours highly. The guides were friendly, on time , knowledgeable and respectful of being with 4 seniors who had to slow down occasionally. The tour suggestions were excellent as well. We saw everything we had hoped to see plus extra, thanks to enthusiastic guides who even recommended restaurants and made suggestions as to what to eat! Drivers were also excellent with comfortable, air conditioned vehicles.

The travel company and it's manager Tomasz are tremendous! WE had an 11 day tour by rail and all the tour guides we had were not only on time but very knowledgeable and personal. Four days into the trip, my wife became seriously injured and we had to return home. Tomasz and his guide in Gdansk were very helpful to get us to airport and Tomasz worked with us on offering credit for the remainder of the trip if we wanted to return when my wife got better. My wife' injury had nothing to do with the tour location, individuals or anything else. She had a brain issue and heart issue and fell. Unforgettable cultural journey through Krakow

Our 4-day trip to Krakow was incredibly well organized and immersive. The stay at the hotel was luxurious and perfectly located for exploring the city. Highlights included a fascinating lecture at Jagiellonian University, a guided tour through the historic Old Town and Wawel Castle, and a poignant visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau. We also enjoyed authentic Polish and Jewish cuisine at carefully chosen restaurants, and ended one evening with a moving Chopin concert. The guides were knowledgeable and passionate, and every detail was thoughtfully planned. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience Krakow’s rich history and culture in comfort.
