Day 1st
Departure from Krakow in the early morning. A visit in the Royal Salt Mine in Bochnia – the oldest salt mine in Poland. Next the departure to Wisnicz – visit in it’s castle, funded in XIVth century. Transfer to Lancut through Debno and Tarnów. Lunch in a typical regional inn located in the old smithy. A visit in Lancut castle and carriage house – a unique one in Poland and Europe. Departure to the palace in Sieniawa for your check-in. Dinner and firts overnight stay at a palace during your Poland tour.

Day 2nd
Breakfast. One day tour in the vicinity of Sieniawa. Visit in Jaroslaw – city known in XVI-XVIII th centuries as a important place for international trade. Departure to Przemysl – city tour of this old town, famous for its fortress, cathedral, old town, tenement houses and castle. Departure to Arlamów with stopovers for visits in Krasiczyn (one of most beautiful castles in Europe built in Renaissance-Mannerist style), sanctuary in Kalwaria Przeclawska. A visit in Arlamów – famous as a place where Lech Walesa was internee in 1982. Drive back to Sieniawa. Dinner and an overnight stay in the palace.

Day 3rd
Breakfast. Check-out and the departure to Sandomierz. City walk in Old Town with beautiful view on Wisla valley. Next a transfer to Baranów Sandomierski and a visit in a castle well known as a “Little Wawel”. A guided tour of the palace and its gardens. Drive back to Krakow. Arrival in the evening – a dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 4th
Breakfast then a morning guided tour of Krakow: the Old Town Market Square with St. Mary’s Basilica and pavilions of the Cloth Hall. Next a short walk along the Royal Route to Wawel Hill, famous for its Royal Castle and Cathedral. An afternoon or evening option of a walk round the Old Jewish Quarter – Kazimierz. A dinner in a regional restaurant with live folk music and an overnight stay at a hotel or a departure flight or next part of your Poland travel.

Perfect Poland

Our eight day trip thru Poland was outstanding! We covered north to south and 1000 years of the Polish and Jewish experience. Our guide Marcin was one of the best we’ve ever encountered , so knowledgable , personable and a great driver as well . Our tour, with stops and sites suggested by Tomasz was outstanding and we would recommend his services and GPF Tours highly. The guides were friendly, on time , knowledgeable and respectful of being with 4 seniors who had to slow down occasionally. The tour suggestions were excellent as well. We saw everything we had hoped to see plus extra, thanks to enthusiastic guides who even recommended restaurants and made suggestions as to what to eat! Drivers were also excellent with comfortable, air conditioned vehicles.

The travel company and it's manager Tomasz are tremendous! WE had an 11 day tour by rail and all the tour guides we had were not only on time but very knowledgeable and personal. Four days into the trip, my wife became seriously injured and we had to return home. Tomasz and his guide in Gdansk were very helpful to get us to airport and Tomasz worked with us on offering credit for the remainder of the trip if we wanted to return when my wife got better. My wife' injury had nothing to do with the tour location, individuals or anything else. She had a brain issue and heart issue and fell. Is Poland safe for tourists?

Yes, Poland is generally considered a safe country for tourists. Does the standard of hotels in Poland differ from other countries?

In general, hotel standardization in Poland is the same as in other countries, ranging from 1* to 5*. However, Poland does not have uniform, nationwide, mandatory government guidelines for hotel standardization defined by the Ministry. The classification of hotels based on stars is voluntary, based on legal regulations, but there is no single central government body supervising all hotels in this regard. The standards are in fact defined by a 2005 regulation of the Minister of Economy and Labor, but this is not a uniform government standardization system within the meaning of the regulation, but rather rules for the classification of hotels in Poland.
