When Joan and David from Orlando, Florida, first contacted GFP Travel, they already had an idea of how they wanted to experience Poland. After reviewing our "10 Days Around Poland by Train" itinerary – https://greetingsfrompoland.com/tour/in-10-days-around-poland-tour-by-train – they found it an excellent foundation for their trip, but they also wanted to make a few changes to better suit their interests and travel style.
Over several emails, Joan and David worked closely with our team to tailor their trip to their needs. One of their main requests was to stay in comfortable 4-star hotels throughout their trip. GFP Travel was pleased to provide them with high-quality accommodations that met their expectations while also providing convenient locations near major attractions in each city.
In addition to the modifications requested by our guests, we offered a few additional activities that we believed would make their trip even more memorable. Joan and David enthusiastically accepted our offer to participate in a traditional pierogi - making workshop, where they learned how to prepare one of Poland's most popular dishes. They also enjoyed a special evening with a traditional Polish dinner and live folk music. This became one of the highlights of their visit, offering a wonderful opportunity to experience Polish culture, music, and cuisine.
During planning, our goal was to create a trip that combined the convenience of independent train travel with the safety and support of a local travel specialist. Every train ticket, hotel reservation, transfer, and sightseeing service were carefully coordinated by the GFP Travel team.
The trip itself went incredibly smoothly, with one minor exception that quickly turned into a story with a happy ending. On the way to Gdańsk, Joan and David accidentally missed their stop (Gdańsk Główny) and continued on to the next station. Fortunately, they remained in constant contact with Tomasz from GFP Travel throughout the entire trip. As soon as Tomasz learned of the situation, he immediately dispatched one of our drivers to the next station. Fortunately, it was about fifteen minutes away. Our driver quickly located the travelers on the platform (we always recommend that travelers do not leave the platform until they have met our driver or guide), helped them with their luggage, and took them directly to their hotel in Gdańsk. What could have been a stressful situation turned into a mini travel adventure thanks to the quick response and support of our team.
During their stay in Poland, Joan and David were particularly impressed by the professionalism and knowledge of the local guides who showed them around various cities. They thoroughly enjoyed exploring Gdańsk with Adam, discovering Krakow with Marta, learning about the fascinating history of Warsaw with Jacek, and experiencing the unique atmosphere of Wrocław with Michał. The guides' enthusiasm, knowledge of the region, and ability to bring history and culture to life added immense value to the entire experience.
Beyond the cities, attractions, and activities, Joan and David were simply captivated by Poland itself. They admired the country's rich history, beautiful architecture, hospitable people, and exquisite cuisine. The combination of independent train travel, carefully selected hotels, experienced local guides, and personalized support from GFP Travel created exactly the experience they were looking for. Traveling alone could have constantly caused problems and unpleasant surprises, as many aspects of the entire trip were simply too difficult to organize on their own.
After returning to Orlando, Joan and David described their trip as one of the most enjoyable in Europe. They praised GFP Travel's excellent organization, the flexibility of their personalized itinerary, and the exceptional quality of service offered throughout the trip.
Their trip was based on our popular "In 10 Day Poland Train Tour," which formed the basis of their personalized adventure in Poland. This tour remains one of the most popular options for travelers who want to explore Poland in comfort, efficiency, and with the help of experienced local guides and excellent drivers.
The cost of such a tour is almost half that of a similar private tour with a driver/guide and a car from GFP Travel. Of course, such a private tour offers more comfort, and the price also includes dinner and full-day assistance from our driver-guide, if needed.
Train tours around Poland with GFP Travel are less expensive and tailored to more independent travelers.
So the choice is yours – whatever you choose, we'll provide everything you need.
