Poland – the John Paul II homeland

Day 1^st

Your arrival to Warsaw. Transfer from the airport and a half-day tour of Warsaw. The guided tour includes: the Castle Square, St John’s Cathedral, a walk through the Old Town Square. Dinner and first overnight stay at a hotel during your Poland tour.

Day 2^nd

Breakfast. A visit to the New Town Market with its Church and Monastery of Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament. Departure to Niepokalanow for a  visit in the Franciscan Monastery and basilica with the figure of Mother of God of the Immaculate Conception and the Museum of St. Maximilian Kolbe. Afternoon departure to Lichen, the new Polish sanctuary, consecrated in 1999 by John Paul II. Dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 3^rd

Breakfast and departure to Gniezno, the seat of the first Polish archbishop in X-th century. Your visit includes the Gothic cathedral with its famous 12th century bronze doors. Next, departure to Poznan. The guided city tour includes the Old Town Market Square and its Old Town Hall, a walk to the Ostrów Tumski – the oldest part of Poznan, with reconstructed gothic cathedral built in 10th century, Bishop’s Palace and the gothic Church of the Sacred Virgin Mary. Dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 4^th

Breakfast. Morning departure to Torun. The guided tour of the city includes the House of Nicolaus Copernicus, the Town Hall, St. Mary’s and St. John’s Church, and also the ruins of the Teutonic Knights Castle. Departure to Plock. Dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 5^th

Breakfast. Your city walk includes a visit to the cathedral, the Benedictine Abbey and the house of the Congregation where St Faustina Kowalska worked. Dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 6^th

Breakfast, departure to Warsaw for your return flight or next part of your Poland travel. Your John Paul II homeland tour ends.
